FreeArt is a mini-social-network for artists living in and around Orange County, NY.  It's primary goal is to create a place where artists can come and collaborate, without the stress and confusion of other big corporate social networking sites.  You know who they are! 

FreeArt wants to simplify matters and concentrate more on how we can communicate, educate, and collaborate with one another outside the web.  FreeArtinNY.org acts as a portal and an on-line exhibition.  We like to think of it as, freeing one another from the constant isolation and confinement that comes with being an aritist.

Don't worry, there are no arduous sign-up detours.  Just have fun, start surfing, and meet your neighbors!  In addition, we are implementing a google maps section to the project to help everyone visualize more clearly how close we really are to one another.  You'll find more information about this later!
